I started Best of Buddies Pet Care back in 2013, after volunteering at Bath Cats and Dogs Home for several years and realising there was nothing I enjoyed more than spending my time with animals.
I am very passionate about animal welfare, and the best way to provide for our domesticated pets, including feeding a biologically appropriate diet, using natural remedies and recognising their natural behaviour for what it is.
Looking back, it is inconceivable that I would end up doing anything different with my life! I currently share my home with my two cats; Annabelle and Madeleine, four dogs; Taz, Bryn, Faru and Kibo; three rescued chickens; Frida, Whitney and Debbie, plus my long-suffering partner, Bert.
I offer group dog walks and puppy visits in Corsham and surrounding villages.
Hi, I am Katherine and I absolutely love all animals. We currently have an nine year old black Labrador named Abby. I have been working as a dog walker/pet carer now for five years since moving to Bath from Devon. I have loved every second of it and even embrace the rain!
Two years ago I welcomed my gorgeous baby son into the world so I have had a little time off. I'm gradually getting back into what I love doing and it feels great to be part of the Best of Buddies team.
Although I help out with occasional walks, I mostly look after the cats and other small animal clients at the moment, including rabbits, guinea-pigs and chickens- I love the variety!
I have been dog walking professionally for just over a year - I love it! Prior to dog walking, I worked in special needs education. I have a personal and professional interest in the therapeutic effects of our relationships with animals - they are just amazing beings.
I live with my teenage son and daughter, plus two black labradors - mother and daughter - Laika and Maya. Laika is now 5; she had a litter of puppies in September 2019 - Maya made it quite clear to us all that was staying with us. We also have a little black cat called Salem (yes, as in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and/or Salem Witch Trials!).
Like Charlie, I grew up around animals. I was bought up on a dairy farm on the edge of the Cotswolds. I had a palamino Welsh Cob pony called Sixpence. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a vet. The love for animals has always been there!
I currently cover Box and surrounding villages, offering group walks and puppy visits.
